Join best selling photographer Doug Harman and Photographer and renowned Photoshop Artist Sue Chapman ARPS, CPAGB at the Oak Room in Smeeth for their landscapes and Lightroom one-day workshop, where you will practice shooting landscapes and then process and edit the images in Adobe’s Lightroom software.



Join best-selling photographer Doug Harman and Photographer and renowned Photoshop Artist Sue Chapman ARPS, CPAGB for one of their 2016 photography and Photoshop day workshops.

This one day workshop comprises the following:

  • 0930 Meet and welcome at the Oak room, Brabourne Lees with coffee and introduction
  • 1000 Depart on morning shoot with Doug and Sue. Dependent upon the weather we might either end up at the coast or inland, or possibly both!
  • 1230 Return to base
  • 1300 Working Lunch (included)
  • 1345 Uploading images into Lightroom and editing
  • 1500 Refreshments
  • 1515 Continue editing in Lightroom
  • 1600 Share best image of the day and Q&A
  • 1630 Summary and close

Our one day workshops cater for beginners to intermediate.

Workshop Cost: £160 per person (£149 if booked early)

Come rain or shine this day trip will go ahead so make sure you are geared up for the very unpredictable English weather!

What You Need to bring…


  • Sturdy waterproof walking shoes or walking boots, gloves, hat and waterproof / windproof jacket.
  • September is normally a mild month of the year but on the coast winds can make you feel considerably cooler.

Camera gear and accessories:

You will need a camera where you are able to control aperture, shutter speeds and ISO (sensitivity). It does not need to be an SLR however. Additionally…

  • A reasonable capacity memory card, such as 8GB – or higher – compatible with your camera.
  • If you have a selection of lenses, then please feel free to bring them with you.
  • A tripod would be beneficial but not necessary. (NOT a table top tripod)
  • Your laptop with a minimum RAM of 4GB.  8GB or higher preferable.
  • Lightroom installed on your laptop (or see comment below)

Should you not have Lightroom pre-installed on your laptop we suggest you download a free 30 day trial directly from Adobe a few days before the start date.

What’s included:
